Position Summary
The HR Generalist assists in the development, implementation, execution, and support of human resources policies, procedures, and programs in the areas of performance management, employee benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, succession planning and other human resources programs and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, reviews, administers and revises programs, policies and procedures. Provides advice and counsel to staff on updating and interpreting programs.
- Knowledge of scope of Human Resources topics including OSHA, FMLA, Employment policies, investigations, disciplinary procedures, employee engagement
- Able to maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR records
- Assists in training needs identification in regard to HR Programs including scheduling, facilitation and delivery.
- Develops and distributes HR trainings and communications to facility and to launch new initiatives to the organization.
- Ability to lead an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
- Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
- Assists in the development, maintenance and communication of legal and prudent Human Resources policies.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Provides training and support to employees on goal planning and effective use of performance management system to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and timely completion within organization. Manages and effectively executes assigned projects.
- Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.
Requirements
Previous experience in Human Resources a MUST.
Associate's Degree and 3 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years human resources experience in a manufacturing/plant environment is highly preferred, as this role will be interacting with and supporting team members on the production floor.
